Guest: WW1 veterans plaque
Hi, my mother has told me that her father Arthur Corner has his name at the top of a WW1 War veterans plaque in a church at Northolt. Can you tell me if it is your church. I would love to get a photo if possible but live on Isle of Wight. Linda.

Hi,
Can you please tell me your service times for Holy Week? I am interested in Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, the Easter Saturday Vigil as well as Easter Sunday. I couldn't find any info in the services or activities and events sections.
Many thanks,
Laura Hobbs

Guest: Vicar John Maplet 1576-92
Several years ago I visited your beautiful church of St. Mary. I was in England (from Columbus, Georgia, USA) and found my way over to Northolt to follow up on an interest I have in John Maplet, Vicar 1576-92. In his will, Maplet left a bible to the church and some money to repair the road. Maplet wrote two books, A Greene Forest and The Diall of Destinie, and his wish in his will was to be buried in the chancel of St. Mary's. I don't know whether his wish was carried out or not. He's an interesting writer. If anyone has any information on Maplet, I would love to hear from you. My email is mchenry_patrick@colstate.edu. I'm on the faculty at Columbus State University in Georgia.

Thank you John for pointing that out. Sorry it took so long but we now have a 'How to Find Us' link which shows a map for both our churches with the addresses and a built in route finder.

I cannot find anywhere on the site which gives the addresses of the two churches. This needs correcting.
A location section would be useful.

Angie Beck: Ms
I have just found out that my BECK family were baptised & buried in St. Mary's. John Beck born about 1796 lived at Down Barnes Farm & had (I believe) 8 children. I would love to know if any of the grave stones still exist. Is there a family history person who would be prepared to find out? I am particularly keen to find out who John married, I think the first son was John Stone Beck in 1819.
Regards Angie Beck.

Robyn Hukin: Dimmock ancestry
I have just this afternoon had the thrill of discovering, after 25 years of searching. that my great great great grandfather William Dimmock is buried in the churchyard at St Marys. It appears he died in the Hillingdon Union Workhouse and was buried in St Marys in January 1861. His son James and his family also lived in Northolt for many years. I am descended from James's brother George who moved to Hammersmith. Several of his children came to Australia in the 1880s and settled here in Western Australia.
I would love to hear from anyone else with Dimmock connections in the Northolt area.

Guest: Memories
Yes I think I remember kate very well the name seems so familiar- I used to attend both churches every week, attended guides and helped with the cub scouts and Sunday school and was confimed at St. Marys- father Danvers was the vicar and he was very sweet and had a dog at one time, we all went on walks with him and many others.
St Richards and St.Marys stood me in good sted for life and I remember it fondly - I attended between 1959-1970.
